Activities aimed at rehabilitation of the Residents are given all importance. Besides Pharmaco therapy, the rehabilitation programme in the CADABAM’S ARPITHA employs a variety of activities-structured as well as unstructured designed to stimulate the residents to try to overcome their deficiencies and bring up to the fore their latent and eclipsed talent, intellect and skills. Emphasis is laid on engaging them in programmes of their interest and also involve them in such activities towards which they have no natural inclination, but is felt necessary in the interest of their over all development. From intellect stimulating jam sessions, quiz, Impromptu, group discussions, story telling, art, play and music therapy, to those involving body movements like physical exercises, relaxation exercises, emotional therapy, gardening etc. music and dance sessions are also in the daily routine. All these activities are carefully planned and coordinated both for individuals and groups. The residents also get an opportunity to learn and practice Yoga.
Painting and hobby work shops like basket making, candle decoration, pot painting etc are conducted and the selected paintings are framed and exhibited in our office, living blocks and also are kept for public view and sale at "ALANKRUTA" SHOP near the campus.
Another important area of our rehabilitation programme is the involvement of residents in decision making process. Community meetings are held regularly & Residents are encouraged to express their views on activities, programmes, facilities food etc.
